Welcome to the 2007 Chopstix for Charity Grant Process
Chopstix for Charity is pleased to invite applications from nonprofit organizations that seek to serve the Atlanta Asian American community. Grant applications will be accepted in programs promoting arts and culture, civic affairs, community development, education, health and human services.
Grant Eligibility Requirements
Applying organizations must:
- Be based in the 28 county metro statistical Atlanta area (Atlanta MSA as defined by the OMB). Counties include: Barrow, Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dawson, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Haralson, Heards, Henry, Jasper, Lamar, Meriwether, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Rockdale, Spalding, and Walton
- Serve the Asian community in part or whole
- Be directly registered as a tax-exempt non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Revenue Code

CFC Grant Application Tips
- Read CFC's guidelines and instructions carefully.
- Follow guidelines and instructions. Applications are turned away when they do not exactly meet requests.
- Proofread your application! It's a good idea to have someone who is not involved in the project in any way read and critique your draft application.
Grant Timeline for 2007
Please note that these dates are subject to change.
- August 1 - Applications are available for Chopstix for Charity 2007.
- September 15 - CFC Grant Application Workshop
- October 15 at 11:59 P.M. EST - Grant applications are due
- November 10 - Grant applications will be reviewed by CFC Grant Committee
- November 16 - Notification of grantees
- Mid-December - Distribution of grant funds for 2007
