Welcome Letter from the Executive Committee
Dear Event Supporter,
Welcome to the 6th annual Chopstix for Charity. On behalf of the committee, we would like to thank our generous sponsors who make this event possible. We would like to recognize our food and drink sponsors, corporate sponsors, prize sponsors, and you - our event supporter. Your presence tonight along with previous years attendance has made Chopstix for Charity the success that it is today. At tonight's event, for the first time in Chopstix history, we are honored with two outstanding journalists, Angeline Correa and Carol Min, our co-emcees.
We have strived to make this year's event better for you with great food, fabulous prizes and activities. We are also doing a few new things this year. In March of this year, we held our first annual Grant ceremony - a brainchild of Rosemary Watts. At our Grant ceremony, all of the organizations that you assisted were able to share what they do and how you helped them. We have also put together a slide show recognizing the organizations you assisted that will be shown at the beginning of our main program.
We would also like to thank our planning committee. This group of hardworking volunteers spent endless volunteer hours this year putting the event together for you. They not only plan this event; they are devoted to our community thru leadership and service. We are eternally grateful for their selfless service to the community and to this event.
In this year of an uncertain economy, we are proud to continue our tradition of sponsorship while also adding new sponsors. It is in these difficult times that the community needs grow even greater. Thank you again for your continued support of the Asian American community. We hope you enjoy this great charity event.
Thank you,
Ken Lee, 2003 Chopstix for Charity Co-Chair
Caroline Dunn, 2003 Chopstix for Charity Co-Chair
